Modern : The complex was opened during January 2000 and
provides accommodation to suit modern student needs on the campus of the University of
Stellenbosch.
Location : Situated on the central campus, adjacent to the Engineering
and Forestry faculties, House Concordia and House McDonald and within cycling or walking distance of all amenities.
Security : The development including the parking areas, as well as House Concordia and House McDonald, is enclosed by a security fence with access control. All accessible windows have burglar bars.
Computer Network : The complex is connected to the computer network of the US and every
study area is provided with a data connection point. The desks supplied, incorporate
space for a personal computer.
Fully Equipped : The units are fully furnished and include cooking facilities and fridges. Students only need to supply their own bedding, cookware, crockery and cutlery.
Code of Conduct : The complex is being managed professionally
and residents are subject to a code of conduct compiled in conjunction with the US.
The aim of the code of conduct is to ensure a safe and peaceful environment to promote uninterrupted studies.
Carefree : Problems associated with ownership of property,
eg. sub-letting, maintenance, service connection fee, recovery of bad
debt and varying interest rates, are avoided.
